VG 95373-40 - TEST METHODS FOR SCREENED CONNECTORS

The VG 95373-40 standard applies for screened connectors for the Bundeswehr.
The EMC Test plan is part of the procedures according to VG 95374-4.
For the application of this standard the terms according to VG 95214-10 and VG 95371-2 are valid.
The transfer impedance and the logaritmic voltage ratio are to be determined either according to VG 95214-11 (test method KS 11 B) or according to VG 95214-12 (test method KS 12 B).
Regarding the execution of the measurement, the screening attenuation and transfer impedance are to be determined in the frequency range and at the frequencies given in the detail specification.
The test method KS 11 B is a line injetion method that can be used in the frequency range from 10 kHz to 3 GHz.
The test method KS 12 B is based on the triaxial method. It can be used in the frequency range from 10 kHz to 50 MHz.
In principle, both methods can be used in the frequency range 30 Hz to 10 kHz as well.
In that frequency range, suitable measures are necessary in order to avoid earth couplings between transmitter and receiver.
In VG 95214-10 standard, both methods are explained in more detail.
The test method KS 01 B - Measurement of screening attenuation and transfer impedance of screened connectors in the frequency range 30 Hz to 400 MHz.
